Message from Pastor Ken (March 18th):
As you may have heard, the government guidelines for social distancing have now been set at less than 10 people per gathering. Even as small as we are, this unfortunately means New Life Church will have to suspend Sunday services until those are lifted.
In response, we will be having our service on Facebook. We are still looking into the logistics of what the service will look like, but let’s meet at 10 am this coming Sunday on the church’s Facebook page to celebrate God together as we step into new territory! God is still with us, even if we can’t be physically present with each other.
Also, as we all know, church is so much more than a message and worship songs. It is about encouraging one another, loving each other, and being encouraged by our brothers and sisters. We want to continue to do that even as we keep our physical distance from one another. So I encourage you to call one another and pray for each other. See how your church family is doing as well as your biological family! Help meet each other’s needs, find new ways to reach out and bless the community!
Our God is a loving God and as such, we are called to be loving people. This is an unfortunate situation we find our world in right now, but it is the time for us as believers to wake up and rise up to a new height of loving one another.
For now, we will continue to meet on Wednesday night if we stay a small group. If it grows, we may split into several groups to follow guidelines while still being able to pray with each other.
Food for Life food shelf will still happen on Thursday, March 26. With many losing hours or even their jobs it is more important than ever to continue this outreach. We will be operating as a drive thru food shelf, so we can use the help in packing boxes and carrying them to cars. And in the coming weeks, we may have even more hungry families looking for help. If you can give more, please do so.
And even though we are not meeting physically on Sundays temporarily, our bills unfortunately continue. Please send your tithes and offerings through online giving or the app.
If you need help with groceries, toilet paper, or whatever, please contact the church office through email or phone. We will be monitoring the communication even during non office hours for emergencies.
If you need a new church directory to connect with your church family, email the church and we will mail one out to you!
God bless you guys, remember Faith, not Fear. God is in control and will take care of details during this season as He does all the time.
